Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support accounts payable, and general accounting operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial transactions, maintaining financial records, supporting audits, and assisting with month-end close activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and payments, including ACH, EFT, and wire transfers.
- Prepare annual 1099 reporting and related reconciliations.
- Monitor and respond to finance-related inquiries.
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with expense reporting and credit card reconciliations.
- Support month-end close activities and journal entry preparation.
- Provide support during annual audits and compliance reviews.
- Cross-train with accounting team members and assist with finance process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Associate's degree with relevant accounting experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a professional environment.
- Accounts payable experience required.
- Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with accounting systems preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

Additional Information
- Primarily office-based role.
- Minimal travel required.
